The work of BFWSS

Boundary Forest Watershed Stewardship Society began in Grand Forks in 2019. Its members documented forestry practices in the Boundary and Kettle watershed, brought local knowledge into reports and public events, and developed the New Forest Act proposal for British Columbia.
This archive gathers the people, fieldwork, reports, articles, photographs, and films behind that work. The society is concluding operations in November 2026; this site is being prepared to preserve its record.
BFWSS is closing. The New Forest Act will remain available.
BFWSS will conclude its operations on November 13, 2026, and is proceeding with dissolution. Jennifer Houghton will become the independent custodian of the New Forest Act proposal and documents.
